Aisling Bea

Aisling was born March 16, 1984, at Kildare Ireland. She is one of Ireland's top-rated and popular comedians. Bea has appeared on QI along with Stephen Fry. Aisling Claiodhnadh, also known as Aisling "Bea" is an Irish actor as well as a writer. She was born on the 16th of March 1984. After appearing in bit parts in a variety of Irish and British TV shows from 2009, Bea started her professional career as a stand-up comic in the year 2011. From 2012 on she was in sitcoms and sketch comedy. The actress began to appear regularly in panel shows following her win of an award at The Edinburgh Comedy Awards. In 2016 and 2017, she was a team leader for 8 Out of 10 Cats. She is also participant on 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown. She was the daughter of Brian as well as Helen O'Sullivan and has a sister who is named Sinead. She was the only female to win So You Think You're Funny in 2012. Bea was awarded the award to commemorate her father's passing. Aisling O'Sullivan, also known as Cliodhnadh Aisling, was born at Kildare town in County Kildare. Her father Brian was a veterinarian who worked with horses who committed suicide when she was just three years old. She was not aware of the cause for her father's death until thirteen years later. In 2017, she composed an essay for The Guardian about the suicide of her father's relatives and took on the stage name Bea to pay tribute. Bea (and her sister Sinead) were brought up within the home of Helen Moloney, who was a school teacher and jockey trainer who was also a professional jockey. They were obsessed with race meetings as well as horses. As a young girl, Bea employed as a tour guide in the Irish National Stud however she knew from a young age that she was not interested in the racing industry as a career and instead was a performer.
